Don Juan de Castro, para la probanza e información antecedente, presentó por testigo a Don Felipe de Casas, español, vecino del Ingenio Grande, quien dijo haber conocido a José López Osorio, y a sus padres Don José López Osorio y Doña Francisca Domínguez de Arellano, y sabe que los susodichos fueron marido y mujer legítimos, y los vio hacer vida maridable; y durante su matrimonio tuvieron por su hijo a José López Osorio; no conoció a su abuelo paterno, pero sí a su abuela Doña María Osorio, y a sus abuelos maternos, que fueron españoles legítimos, cristianos viejos, limpios de toda mala raza. El testigo dijo tener 64 años de edad.
