Juan Borrero, residente en esta villa, en nombre y como apoderado de Ana de Herrera, mujer legítima de Juan Delgado, vecinos de la ciudad de la Nueva Veracruz, vende al Regidor Joseph [José] de Leyva [Leiva], vecino de esta villa, un negro nombrado Manuel, casta arara de veinticuatro años de edad, el cual compró a don Agustín de Torres Zabala [Zavala], el 11 de octubre de 1696 en dicha ciudad de la Veracruz. Lo vende en precio de 150 pesos de oro común.
