Juana Gómez, viuda de Baltazar Ruiz, vecina de este pueblo de Orizaba, dijo que por cuanto ella trató de contraer matrimonio con Cristóbal Gutiérrez de Huesca, y resultó impedimento por parte de Juana de Vargas, su prima hermana, respecto de causa de ajuntamiento y copula carnal, razón por la cual otorga poder al Licenciado Luis de Herrera, vecino de la ciudad de los Ángeles, para que parezca ante el señor provisor de esa ciudad y haga en su nombre todos los pedimentos necesarios, para limpiar su imagen y reputación en el pueblo, realice las averiguaciones y probanzas que convinieren, y las presente ante su santidad, y pida se le conceda dispensación para contraer dicho matrimonio.
